Episode 08: Loneliness & Community (with Cristi Alexander)

On this episode, we talk with the one and only Cristi Alexander. Cristi is well-known and well-loved in our community. She grew up as a TCK in South Africa, went on to serve as a missionary in Wales, and is now working with the ISMK Office in Springfield, MO.

Join our conversation as we discuss the loneliness we often feel as TCKs and the beauty and comfort of the community God gives us. From Cristi’s own experiences, we learn that community doesn’t always come the way we expect it to, but that God is so kind to give us little “God whispers,” as Cristi calls it, to remind us that we are seen, known, loved, and not alone. Tune in to the end to hear practical steps of dealing with emotions and the impact of practicing gratitude.

What questions do you have about loneliness and finding community? How can we help support you or your TCK? We’d love to hear from you! Connect with us HERE.
